Sharing food enables people to share their culture. It therefore seemed fitting for our students in the Anthropologists’ Excellence Group to conclude their studies with a celebration of Korean food.
During 2023, the students have learnt about the beliefs and customs of different cultures, and why people from those cultures do some of the things they do. They were also encouraged to think about their own culture and what they see as normal and acceptable because they have become accustomed to it. The students enjoyed traditional Korean food on the Rooftop Terrace. Some of the food they tried included Bulgogi, Kimchi and KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), green tea ice cream and black sesame seed ice cream.
It was a wonderful way to conclude their studies.
