Our School skipping team recently competed in the National Rope Skipping Championships, a four-day event with over 350 competitors. We are incredibly proud of their outstanding performance, representing our School with dedication, skill and heart.
This year the Skipping Nationals event was officially endorsed by the International Jump Rope Union, making it a world-class event. Under this endorsement, Skipping Australia ran a Grand Championship round for the 16+ age group stage. We had two teams make it into the ‘Grands’ and compete in three events. Belinda N, Ethan C and Jesse M placed 3rd for Double Dutch Single Freestyle.
Mrs Binns congratulated the team on their exemplary performance and attitude:
‘The team’s resilience and perseverance were on full display, with older students stepping up to support the younger skippers while still excelling in their own events. This sense of teamwork and mentorship was a highlight of the competition, showing the strength of our community and the bonds formed through the sport.’
Mrs Binns went on to thank the parents and families for their vital encouragement and support:
‘Your dedication during training and at the event played a significant role in the team’s success. Congratulations again to the entire team for your achievements, and thank you to the teachers, coaches, parents, and supporters who made this possible. You’ve made our School community incredibly proud!’
