A Creative Life

St George Christian School is a place where creativity is encouraged and nurtured.

St George Christian School provides students with the opportunity to explore the spectrum of creative arts.

Infants students engage in music lessons with a specialist music teacher and students also take part in dance lessons each year with a professional dance instructor. Lessons culminate in an end-of-year Christmas Concert which showcases the student's acquired creative skills. The skills learnt through singing, drama and performance can improve a child’s abilities in areas such as confidence, self-discipline, problem-solving and social interactions.

Creative skills continued to be nurtured and explored in Junior and Middle School with programs in photography, drama, music and specialist interest groups. For Senior Students, our School provides strong and varied creative and performing arts programs in which they can develop their talents and if desired, build on this firm foundation to pursue a career in the arts.

Students studying visual arts have opportunities throughout the course of their study to prepare exhibitions for the School and the wider community. We also work collaboratively with community galleries to equip our students with exhibition experience. A strong program of attendance to art galleries, musical performance, theatre and arts workshops are at the core of our arts education across the curriculum.

The Chapel Gallery was opened in 2023 in a reimagined heritage listed chapel at our Hurstville Campus.  The Chapel Gallery is a permanent gallery space, offering opportunities for our students and the wider community to connect, engage, learn, and create.
