Last week, our Year 2 students embarked on an adventure into the past when they visited the Sydney Tramway Museum at Sutherland.
Year 2 students have been learning about People and Places from the Past. Their studies in History have enabled them to develop an appreciation of how people and places have changed in our local community over the years.
The excursion provided the children with the opportunity to step back in time and hear stories about the local history of trams. This special snapshot of the past allowed students to learn about the impact that changes in technology have had on people’s lives. It was an action-packed day, viewing the extensive historical memorabilia, creating art works and experiencing an amazing tram ride through the Royal National Park.
