In the recent school holiday break, Rhema Adelaja , Kurt Michael and Sebastian Miani travelled to Adelaide to represent NSW in the Australian Junior Athletics Championships. This week-long championship hosted the best-of-the-best junior athletes from across Australia.
Over the past two years, Rhema, Kurt and Sebastian have participated in the SGCS Elite Athlete Program under the guidance of Mr Cocking, Athletic Development Coach.
A huge congratulations to Rhema, the worthy recipient of two Gold medals and one Silver medal at the championships. She was the fastest 15 year old female in Australia in the 100m sprint, second fastest in Australia in the 200m sprint, and a member of the winning 100m Relay Team. We are so proud of you, Rhema, and excited about your future in Athletics!
Outstanding results were also achieved by Sebastian and Kurt attaining an incredible top five and top ten in the country respectively in their events.
